review 1: The overall plot of this book, the action, and the descriptions were well written and entertaining. However, throughout the book there was coarse language and the decisions that the characters made were not God like. I would not recommend this book because it is not very healthy reading for a Christians mind. But, as a whole, the book was entertaining and well written. It had a good plot, interesting characters, and it was cool to read about a different culture. But, if your not willing to read big books than this book wouldn't be for you anyway.
review 2: I truly enjoy Giles Kristian's writing. His style flows incredibly well and his novels are quick and easy to read. He's a true pro. But I have grown accustomed to Mr. Kristian's detail and fidelity to hist
... moreory which, unfortunately, does not stand up to rigor in this third installment. I understand his attempt at exploring the coming about of the Norman Kingdom of Italy, but the plot ventures into an outlandish territory that, in my opinion, belongs in fantasy fiction rather than historical. I admire his efforts, however, and will continue to read his work. Overall, a fun story! less
