Wow. Just w-o-w.

What a complicated plot.

Anna is a good heroine. I liked how she was brave and there was no whining coming from her – which would be something expected, given her situation. She was brave and kick ass and she had little training.

It seems to me as if the heroines in romance stand in two sides: either they are completely kick ass or they are damsels in distress. Now, I have a fondness for both types of heroine and like reading both of them, but I loved that Anna was a heroine that was stuck right in the middle.

Now, I thought Aidan was interesting in the previous book in the series, but in this one… well, I just didn’t care much for him. Maybe because he was an all out, on your face jerk to the heroine?

Not sure, but I still didn’t appreciate it.

Now, I liked the plot. It was interesting, but I felt as if there was so much stuff going on! I thought that maybe the book would flow better if we had only focused on Aidan’s issue, you know? It felt as if either the book had to be longer so this plot point would have been better used or as if she should have picked only one of the plot points and focused on it, cutting the other one out.

But, well, it was still a fairly great book. Looking forward to read more from this author.
