review 1: My daughter bought me a couple of Supernatural books because I'm such a fan of the series. There are so many books awaiting my eyes I thought eventually, like maybe never, I'll get around to reading this one. Then I found myself reading the first couple of pages to see if I should just give them back to her so they wouldn't go to waste. I was instantly hooked! This turned out to be a good, fast read that's well-written and filled with continuous action that never lost my attention. It makes me want to check out more by this author. If you like the show, you'll like the book.
review 2: I have doubts that the author has ever spent a single moment of his life actually talking to a Civil War re-enactor, much less a day in the south (Kid Rock t-shirts? Really? Reall
... morey?!). Putting being slightly offended at the not-so-well-researched stereotypes to the side, the story itself was great. It would be the perfect thing to see onscreen, though it would never happen unless it had been done in movie form. This story would have been too long for an hour-length episode and too epic for a TV-sized budget. less
