review 1: If I have ever read a novel by Kasy Michaels, it must have been long before I started keeping track here. I downloaded this one because I needed a book for the gym and this caught my fancy. Naturally, it was book two in a three book series. I will probably go back for one and three since Michaels gave me almost everything I want in a romance. I have to give the author props for being one of the few who remembers that birth control did, in fact, exist in the regency era, and not every genteel lass was completely innocent of the workings of either a) sex or b) the seedier sides of life. For a historical romance, it felt more realistic than most, and I say that not about the plot, really, but more about the diversity of characters. less

Intriguing mixture of bantering lovers and very serious drama, with a truly despicable villain.

The second of a trilogy. Good romantic story based in the regency period and funny in places.
