If you’re a lippy lover like me, I’m sure by now you’ve heard about Rimmel’s new Stay Matte range which they launched a few weeks back. Last week, I tried out my first shade from the collection in shade, Blush, and today I’m trying out my second shade, Be My Baby.
Liquid lipsticks are everywhere right now, and while I do tend to prefer stick lipsticks, I’ve started to come around to liquid lipsticks of late. Plus, these are a pretty good option if you’re looking for something budget friendly.
The pigment, as with most Rimmel lippies, is gorgeous, and this shade has a good colour pay off which I’m a fan of too. It is quite wet when you first apply it so you think it’s going to be slightly creamy, but then it dries in to leave a very matte finish.
First time around, I found it became a little too dry and my lips did start to feel dehydrated as the day went on, but I didn’t notice this as much with today’s shade so maybe my lips were a little dryer last time.
While I like this lippy, I don’t love the shade, and that was the same last week too. There’s nothing wrong with it as such, I just feel like it’s a bit ‘meh’ and think I would way prefer the formula in a richer or bolder shade.
So before I fully make up my mind on these, I’m going to have to try one of those shades to see if they ‘wow’ me any more than this one.
Have any of you tried these yet? I have seen the swatches of the bolder shades online and they look amazing, so I’m hoping once I try those, I’ll be sold!
