I wanted to visit this place for quite some time and finally got the opportunity last week to visit this great place “Tales and Spirits”. I had already heard a lot about this place from one of my friends who lives nearby. The café is located at one of most posh areas of Pune i.e. Senapati Bapat Road. It also enjoys the pretty view of beautiful roads due to its prime location.

The café has a great, cozy ambience. I must say that it has one of the finest ambiences in the western geographical area of Pune. The outside seating makes the café a pretty amazing place to hangout with your friends. Everything in the café attributes to the exceptional decoration and adds a blend that can make you evening a lot better. The soft music on the disc creates a pleasant enjoyable environment.
Coming to the food, the best thing I liked about the place is that they serve alcohol despite being a completely vegetarian café. I ordered BLT Cheese Panini and T&S Mediterranean Veg Lasagne for myself. The service was a bit slow and they took around 25 minutes to serve the two dishes. The presentation of both the food items was just beautiful. I liked the way they presented the Panini in the shape of heart. Lasagne had a messy presentation but still looked neat.

Lasagne didn’t taste like lasagna and was much on the lower side. I’ve had much better lasagna at other places in Pune. Its contents made it taste much like salad than a Lasagne. Maybe, it’s their version of Veg Lasagne. However BLT Cheese Panini had a much better taste. To be honest, I didn’t expected a combination of Basil, Lettuce and Tomato to taste this good. The melted cheese in addition added a unique flavor to the dish. I would definitely recommend it to have at ‘Tales and Spirits’.
On a scale of 5, I would rate Tales and Spirits:
Ambience – 4/5
Service – 3/5
Presentation – 4.5/5
Taste – 3.5/5
Apart from all these, the café also offers Valet parking which I found quite fancy. You can light a cigarette in the Smoking zone at this place as well. They also screen live matches and a sports fan can head out here at any match day. Overall, I would recommend visiting this place at least once to chill out with your friends and explore the world of Italian and Continental dishes if you want to try Vegetarian food.
