review 1: kembali tenggelam di genre fantasy, dystopia atau apapun itulah. keren sih bukunya tapi kekurangan orang kayak aku yg berulang kali baca buku bergenre sama itu... jadinya datar, ada kesan membandingkan, ga sepenuhnya tenggelam dalam ke-orisinil-an buku ini. saat baca buku ini yg bercerita tentang pelarian sekumpulan anak yg punya kemampuan beda, sempet ada "bentrok" gak cocok sama teman dr tempat yg sama tapi pada akhirnya seperti menemukan bahwa mereka saling memahami gitu... itu aku temuin juga di serial The Darkest Power nya Kelley Armstrong. Somehow kesan yg aku dapet agak sama.Tapi lepas dari itu sih aku suka Ruby, bukan sosok yg menggurui, bukan sosok yg sok (sok berani, sok tau, sok pintar) wkwk dia apa adanya. beda sama Clary di Immortal Instrumen pffffft.Segitu a... moreja, bingung mau ngereview apanya...
review 2: It's been a long time since a book had my full attention and this book not only caught my full attention but also my heart. It was the same when I read the first book and more so when I read this. I tried really hard to focus on every word and not skip any pages to find out what's gonna happen next. This book really is a page-turner. I loved every part of it and every character in the story. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this book and I'm telling you CHAPTER 24 IS THE BOMB."I look at you, and I just love you, and it terrifies me. It terrifies me what I would do for you." And by then I didn't know how, but I was on the floor with all the heartbreaking emotions drowning me and left me in my own puddle of tears and joy. less
