TBR Tuesday #39; Kidnapping & New Love

Hello reader/s! For a while now, I’ve been writing a bi-weekly post about books that are on
my TBR. TBR, if you don’t know is the abbreviation for To Be Read. My goal here is to shed some light on books that I’ve otherwise forgotten about. These books could be books I’ve been meaning to read from the library, or books that have been collecting dust on my shelves at home. My goal though is to say a little about the book and also give a little reasoning of why I want to read them. In hopes of reading them sooner than later.

Today’s TBR Tuesday is going to be pretty short! I don’t really have much to say about either of these books, but they’re on my TBR, so why not.

The first book I’ll be talking about is a book, where to find herself, the main character first has to run away. That’s the vibe I’m getting.

Perfect Escape by Jennifer Brown is a Young Adult Contemporary, Realistic Fiction, with Mental Illness.

Perfect Escape has been on my TBR for a while now, since I bought it at a grocery store. I’ll be honest and say that what drew me in most about Perfect Escape was that the main character, Kendra, pretty much kidnaps her older brother by going on a “road trip” while he’s asleep in the front seat.

I hope that within the story, Kendra will be able to come to terms with her problems and learn to live her life as is. I can’t much talk about the OCD aspect(s) of this novel since I, myself, don’t have OCD.

The second book I’ll be talking about is one that I’ve had on my TBR for forever, since it’s a New Adult book.

Hey Sunshine by Tia Giacalone is a New Adult Contemporary Romance book.

When it comes to Hey Sunshine I find that I rarely have words for what this book is about. Everything about this book is pretty hush-hush. Like Fight Club.

What I think will happen is Chase will come back from his “potentially dangerous dream” and want to get together with Avery. I think Chase brings home Fox, ’cause he doesn’t have a job, or is starting over somewhere new. I think Avery won’t get together with Chase because there’ll always be a part of Avery that will doubt Chase. And Fox is so new, they don’t have history together, which makes Fox all that much more appealing to Avery.

That, or, I’m just letting my hopes up and Hey Sunshine will be completely different, haha.

Have you read either of these books?
If so, what did you think of them?

Happy Reading!
Adele
