Susan here, with my latest book review. The Ladies of Ivy Cottage is the second book in a series. Not having read the first one, I can attest that this book can stand alone as an interesting read, whether or not you’ve read book one.
Many fascinating characters people these pages. Quite a fantastic set-up in which a cluster of female entrepreneurs (quite unusual for this historical era) gather in a sort of businesswomen’s club. Within this organization, they women mentor a young lady who has a dream of opening a circulating library. The fees for membership, and for borrowing books would then support her.
Now, since this is a romance, and a hero will appear somewhere along the way, we can rest assured that her pittances won’t become an issue. Her path is sure, her outcome will be a happy ending.
