review 1: "Bound in Sin" by Cynthia Eden. Book 3 in the Bound (Vampire/Werewolf) series.Wow! What a great novella! The prefect little paranormal romance fix. This novella is third in the series but really can be read as a stand alone. There is only one reference to the first book in the series "Bound by Blood" but if you haven't read it, that's OK. The reference is explained very well. I really loved the storyline between the main characters of Drake and Paige.Paige has come back to Alaska after 10 years to find Drake, the man she loved with all her heart. There's just one problem, she's not human anymore, she's a vampire. And Drake hates vampires, with good reason. But she can't stay away. Not when Drake is in danger. She's determined to protect him, whatever it takes.Drake can't b... moreelieve Paige is back. She left him 10 years ago and he never knew why. She was his mate, he knew that the first time he saw her. But now she's a vampire and she needs his help. He will protect her with his last breath. He's not letting her get away from him again. But her would really like to know why she left him in the first place....Such a great backstory for the main characters. A love lost and found again. Really heartbreaking. The story is fast paced with lots of action and some really steamy scenes between Drake and Paige. I really enjoyed it.
review 2: This installment had a darker feel, what with kidnapping, torture, poisoning, deceit, traitors and all around doucheyness. Paige returns to Alaska to see Drake, after having been gone for 10 years. Drake believes that Paige just left, he doesn't know the true story (and of course she won't tell him upfront, cause then we'd only have a short, 3-chapter story). Other than the obvious reason of still being in love with Drake, there is an alternative reason why Paige is back, and it has something to do with Creeper McDouchebag Gabe and his evil, nefarious plans. But as most of these stories go, the H and h overcome their differences and vow to save the day, err night, or whatever and pledge to love each other forever and ever and ever.3 books down in the Bound series for me, gonna finish up the last two here shortly. less
