Scientists are looking for habitable planets, so they can save the human species. No one ever mentions saving any of the other living beings on this rock…just rich white male humans…but that’s what egomaniacs do…they think about themselves.
Question: Don’t they understand that the only reason we need to find a new place to live is because we are destroying the planet we now call home? Don’t they understand that we will kill the next place, and the one after that, because that’s what we do? I wonder how many we places have already destroyed? Yes, yes, some of you believe that we have never lived anywhere else but I’m not one of those people. Even some scientists think we came from Mars. At any rate, I think we are on earth because we don’t play well with others, so we were stuck on the arm of a spiral galaxy, where we couldn’t hurt anyone else. It doesn’t matter where we go…we will kill whatever exists, wherever we end up.
Question: Who will be “saved?” Minorities? Maybe a few, if they have enough money. The uneducated? The religious, because their god knows you can’t have people believing whatever they want, that would mean chaos. Maybe they will save people from third world countries, or how about people from Mexico? The down and out? I’m sure some women will go along, I mean the guys will have to have prey to hunt, wherever they land. And, someone to clean up. Right?
It will be rich white guys all over AGAIN. If they find anyone already on the planet they choose, they will kill them, like they did the Native Americans. I doubt they will do anything differently, because hey, if they want it, they take it. Perhaps a dog or three, a few cats, a couple of kids and fertile couples, to repopulate the place. No frogs or slugs. Maybe a tree or two, kept under glass, in the hopes that there will eventually be a better atmosphere they can pollute, perhaps water they can poison. You know…same old same old.
And like all the sci-fi movies, which always carry a bit of truth, the poor, sick, uneducated, minorities and the rest of the herd will be left behind to fend for themselves. But the rich white guys won’t be able to stop themselves from destroying everything, again. That’s who the rich white guys are. They take no responsibility for MAKING people poor, for stopping people from becoming educated, for keeping their feet on the necks of minorities. This isn’t some kind of genetic design, it was purposely DONE. They will do it again.
It is possible that there are others out there who won’t let us go very far. We are probably too great a danger to all life, to let us roam the universe, or get close to other living beings, whatever they are. They could end us. Write us off as a failed experiment. A science project, on a planet, instead of in a fish tank, or ant farm.
I don’t think we are going to be moving anytime soon. I don’t think we have the technology. I don’t think we went to the moon, but that’s another story altogether. The point is, unless they are lying to us AGAIN, we don’t have the means to move. No vans big enough to carry our junk. Actually, there may be people living somewhere else, setting up lovely underground mansions for the very wealthy, a peacock or two screaming into the fake sunlight, how would we know?
The thought of CLEANING UP AND FIXING THIS PLANET doesn’t seem to have occurred to the corrupt governments currently destroying the world. So leave the “garbage,” behind and start over in a nice tidy place, seems to be their solution of choice.
They can say they want to relocate because of a comet, or this, or that, but the reality of it is that they just want to get rid of the masses and make a nice little place for themselves, at least eventually. The white guys in charge do nothing to help earth, they just want to play golf on some other rock, as long as there’s an underling to carry their clubs and clean up after them. See, as long as people believe in titles and think that one person is better than another, nothing will ever change. Eventually, they will end up killing each other and eating the dead bodies for dinner. When it comes down to the last four standing, the one with the most money, and the biggest ego, wins, the others will have to wash the dishes.
