All she wanted was a dreamland,
Someplace to belong:
Where everything she ever does
Doesn’t always go so wrong.
She closed her eyes to butterflies,
With a wish for something more:
For something beautiful to appear;
Something worth living for.
She wished for elves and fairies;
For magic in the moon;
She wished her all for something
To make her sore heart swoon.
She wished up another world
Inside her broken mind;
But all she knew was flawed,
And that’s all that she would find.
