In a beautiful garden studio in Box you will find the illustrator and printmaker Susie Brooks. Susie has just finished building her garden studio which she describes as ‘a wooden studio with a terrace to sit and have a cup of tea. Not huge, but the commute is fine, and radio 4 is always on’. Sounds like heaven to us!

Susie has a degree in Illustration and a masters degree in printmaking, and she enjoys teaching drawing. She loves to draw her surroundings, places that she loves, and hopes that the places will mean something to you too.
Drawing mostly with pencil, then an ink dip pen and using flat colour, born out of silkscreen printing, Susie creates her prints. She has many hand-made unique prints to browse and buy from my studio, plus she is launching a new set of limited edition prints of Box exclusively for the Peacock Arts Trail, as well as tea towels, mugs and greetings cards.
Susie mixes her own work with commercial illustration, explaining ‘I am a hired pen! (No job too big or small.) I get commissioned to make drawing for maps, publishing and also private commissions of people’s houses or special places’.
