Newsham Park Hospital, Liverpool
Newsham Park in Liverpool, is a former seaman’s orphanage and hospital. The sheer number of reported hauntings at this creepy location is something to behold. There is just not only spirits of patients lurking in Hospital but there are children too. During Paranormal investigations people have heard knocking from an empty hallway. They believed to be where naughty children that misbehaving during Victorian era.
People also reported that they saw moving objects, sound of creepy voices and shadows and figures. According to Echo(2016), Hazel Ford, owner of Haunted Happenings, says they arrange hundreds of events across the country every year, but Newsham Park with its wards and Naughty Boy’s Corridor is exceptional.
“So much inside has remained untouched,” she explains. “There’s a trolley in the old hospital which was used to remove bodies and it has the indentations of the person who lay there, where the bodily fluids have seeped into the metal.“A lot of people who enjoy this type of experience would think ‘wow’ but when you see it, it’s actually really sad and it becomes very real then.”
Paranormal investigators filming at the site in the past claim to have heard children’s voices, there have been sightings of a small child on the top corridor and the sound of dragging from an empty dining room.
Hazel says they don’t create anything for their groups – a maximum of 30 go on each session, in groups of eight. “It is a very authentic experience,” she adds.
