Scarab beetles have a long history of being seen as religious and spiritual symbols. The scarab beetle was a seen as a symbol of the ancient Egyptian creator God Atum. The scarab was also associated with the sun and its travels across the sky. Ancient Egyptians made scarab jewelry and protection amulets for their living and dead to wear. These scarabs have a warrior look, mixed the ancient Egyptian with Viking symbolism both cultures interests me.
