review 1: In the eleventh book of the Jane Austen Mysteries, Jane is visiting with her brother Edward at his Godmersham Park estate. They are off to Chilham Castle for the wedding of Adelaide Fiske to Captain Andrew MacCallister, a soldier on the Marquis of Wellingto's staff. Three years ago, Adelaide received news that her husband, Curzon Fiske, a master of scandalous actions had died in Ceylon. Adelaide had finally found a little happiness with her Captain when a body is found along the Pilgrim's Trail. Guess whose body it is? Yep, Curzon Fiske. What a evil web we weave when we deceive ..... !!!!! This is probably closer to 3 1/2 stars, but it was a bloody good romp and Jane does a fine job once again in finding the murderer.
review 2: I will agree with another reviewe
... morer in that I had correctly guessed the culprit about midway through the reading. However there were also enough herrings thrown in to make me question things. Unfortunately with Barron's books and her usage of real historical figures it sometimes limits the amount of possibilities. Still it was told well and sometimes that's all that counts. Looking forward to the next Jane Austen mystery. less

I want to give it 3 /12 stars as it was a well crafted story, but was just slow at times.

I miss Lord Harold. The series isn't as fun as it used to be.
