WWW Wednesday [7]

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Books to do a little reading plan update.

The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

Wild Beauty is pretty okay so far. It’s got an interesting concept, but sometimes the story is kind of confusing. It’s getting less so as I get more used to the writing style, but the first chapter had me really scratching my head trying to understand what was happening. I actually went back and read it after several more chapters and it made way more sense.

The ninth book in the Sandman Slim series was a nominee for this years Goodreads Choice Awards, so I decided to start working on this series (and many others). I’m about a fourth of the way through, and it’s pretty good so far.

Recently Finished:

A Conjuring of Light is the final installment of the Shades of Magic series. I am very sad for this series to end. I love Lila and Rhy and Allucard and Kell’s and I never want to stop reading about them. I was very happy with how things wrapped up though. I guess I’ll accept that it’s over.

I read The Four Agreements for my yoga teacher training, and really I think it’s a book just about everybody could benefit from reading. The four agreements are be impeccable with your word, don’t take anything personally, don’t make assumptions, and always do your best. Even before I read the book, I knew that doing those things would make my life better, but even more so after reading it. I will be doing my best to live by these agreements. And I will have a full review coming soon!

I Was Anastasia really was not what I expected/wanted. It was really depressing for a while, I grew to like both Anna and Anastasia, and then the end happened and I was sad again. I did not know going into it that this was based off a true story, but it is and it kind of makes me mad that it actually happened. Full review coming next week!

Three to get Deadly is the third in the Stephanie Plum series. I love Stephanie Plum books. I literally smile the whole way through them, and even actually laugh out loud a few times. I wish there were a shorter waiting list on Overdrive so I could read them faster!

Up Next:

Silence in the Desert is another book set during WWII, my favorite time period to read about even if it usually is really depressing. The Restorer is the first of another series I’m reading to get to a Goodreads Choice Awards nominee. And Business, Balance, and Bliss is another I have to read for my yoga teacher training (which will be over in less than 2 weeks!
