review 1: I liked the suspense. i tried to figure out why Dove Connelly would never look at his baby girl. Toward the end I began to figure it out as the story unwound. His wife Cherie amazed me at her strength. In the same way she was strong, she was also weak and really needed him to be there for her. I really loved how the Author took the reader into Tessa Bradley's life. Some of her trials just shook me to the core. Her daughter and her rebellion made me angry. I kept thinking, if only she knew the truth. The mystery of this book, the murder, the humor, to me made it a very good read. I would definately recommend it. I love Rebecca Forster's book. The ending was one I did not expect. I usually can figure them out, but never did on this one.
review 2: The beginn... moreing was AWESOME. I was sucked into this world in a matter of paragraphs...the middle kind of dwindled...and yes the end was a surprise...but it was kind of a, "huh? why?..what...wha...???" sort of ending. I'm stuck between a 2 and 3 star..but I went w/ three b/c it was an engaging little read that I (with the exception of a bit in the middle when I wish it would have sped up...and the end where there were multiple questions that were left unanswered and I was hanging with a confused look on my face for a day) had a hard time putting down but an easy time finishing. less
