review 1: This was a really fun read-and I love that it actually is Ree's real-life love story! As a long-time reader of her blog, and lover of her first cookbook, I was thrilled when she also released this. The book is more detailed than what she had previously shared on the blog, but kept in her same familiar style- personal, yet tasteful; warm, with a bit of humor, really enjoyable. To me, there is something special about a book that chronicles life as it happened, and includes the recipes with the story behind them along the way. I really love that quality in this book.
review 2: Omygosh! Loved, Loved, LOVED this book! I could not put it down. I didn't want it to end! I want more! I love her writing style. I felt like I was listening to an old friend catch me up on
... moreher life as she told me her story. The fact that she lived all of those experiences personally, makes it even more scrumptious! With all the things that happened to her, it would have been criminal for her not to share her story with the rest of us. You seriously cannot make that stuff up. I am going to buy this book I loved it so much. I melted and I laughed and laughed. I gasped in horror and shock and laughed some more. I didn't know who the Pioneer Woman was before, but now I do :) less

I gave this four stars because I can't really compare it to my five star books like Pride and Prejudice, but honestly, for the niche it's in, she did a topnotch job. Not only do I adore Ree and her dreamy life on the ranch, but she's hilarious, and I would be lying if I didn't admit I was glued the whole way through. I listened to it when I was sick, and it was a blast to read. Made being sick fun. I may or may not have also read it on her website back in the day. Guess I'm just a shameless Pioneer Women fan.
