review 1: I read this as a "blind date" book promotion at my library. You pick a book wrapped up in wrapping paper and read it and rate it. I actually laughed out loud when I unwrapped it. It's far from my normal genre. That aside I decided to give it a shot. I figured that a romance book with a faith base wouldn't be to bad because at least it won't have those awkward raunchy parts I feel guilty reading when my kid is in the room. This shouldn't be considered a "faith" based book. It should be considered a GOD FIXES EVERYTHING NO MATTER WHAT SO PRAY ALL DAY EVERY DAY book. Seriously, you can't get through a whole page without them mentioning prayer, faith, God, Him, Lord, etc. That's somewhat to be expected but it comes on super strong in this book. Ok, there may have been ... morea page or two in the 2 chapters where they describe the potluck dinner that don't mention how you should pray and how God knows. The story line is absurd and unrealistic and the dialogue is forced and juvenile. I honestly expected the author to be some kind of prepubescent church fiend when I looked her up. It's as though she has no knowledge on how humans speak and interact with each other. I actually feel proud of my self for finishing this catastrophe.
review 2: This story will grasp hold of your heart and emotions. The characters become so real you want to cry, pray, and rejoice with them.A doctor struggling to deal with the grief of losing his wife will have you wanting to help him. His daughter, Autumn, locked in her own world at the loss of her Mother. Then she spies Hannah, sitting in a window display. The pink breast cancer symbol draws Autumn to Hannah.Yet in it all God had a plan unfolding. You get two couples finding healing and love. There is so many emotions. Near the last part be sure to keep a box of kleenex close by s you will need them. The tears will flow as the story will seem so real.A very emotional story and one every woman can relate to I am sure. less
