review 1: I read this because I needed to read a well-known zombie novel (for work reasons). It was okay. I skim read a lot of it and didn't much like the gory detail of battle. The characters were okay - a little stereotyped. The plot had a few odd elements that didn't always make sense. The writing was okay - mediocre rather than excellent. The ending? Well, endings are always hard, but this one did not work for me.
review 2: I recently read somewhere that some people will disregard a 5 star review because it may have been given by a friend or family member. I am neither. I am simply a huge fan of this author and feel that this story deserves the rating. Where a lot of "zombie" stories tend to focus on the "infection", Rhiannon has a way of making her characters y... moreour main focus. The love and lives shared by the main & primary characters has you rooting for their survival. This books contains a really cool twist to the standard zombie tale and I highly recommend it! less
