review 1: This was the 5th and final book in The Walk Series. Overall, I give the series a high four stars. There are many very moving passages that can bring tears to your eyes, and for the most part there are very few dry passages you have to hump trough. I thought the last part of this last book was a bit rushed, and I found it difficult to believe Mr. Christoffersen walked through south Florida and particularly Miami without being harassed by the local street element. There are parts of Miami I won't even drive through, let alone go by foot.You can count on good writing from Richard Paul Evans. I have enjoyed all the books of his that I have read, and expect to enjoy the ones I have yet to read.If I still had room for a library, I would have his books on my s... morehelf.
review 2: I read the first and the last book in "The Walk" series. I felt I was left hanging when I read the first book, not realizing it was an entire series. When I saw a new Richard Paul Evans book on the library shelf, I grabbed it. It wasn't until I started reading it that I realized it was the final book of the series, his walk through Florida. Having recently returned from a trip to the Keys, I decided to read it anyway. I missed important parts of Alan's journey, but I can & will go back to read the books in the middle, and hopefully in the correct order. less
