review 1: This book for me is really a 4.75 stars...Don't get me wrong, I loved it and read it really quickly considering its a reasonably long book. However, I had one or two issues with it. My big issue was the treatment of Adrian. This has been an issue for me throughout the books as Rose uses him time after time. I felt like she went too far in this book by actually cheating on him. I was happy that Richelle Mead made Adrian angry about it but I felt that made the ending to the series a bit bitter. My other problem was how convenient it all was at the end. I felt that everything seemed to fall into place and resolve itself very quickly. I understand that it's a book and a fantasy one at that so its not going to be realistic, but I just felt that Lissa becoming queen and Rose bei... moreng cleared of all charges just happened too fast and was too easy.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the entire series!
review 2: This series is the love of my life. I've read all of them at least 5 times. This series will forever be one of my favorite series of all times. The first book hooked me, the middle of the series all the way to the end broke my heart into pieces. The last book was insane, sure some things could of been different but I stand by my 5 star rating. Reading them over and over again never gets old. The spin off series is also worth reading!! :-) I thought it wouldn't be because I just love rose and dimitri and didn't care about anyone else but it's REALLY good. Well... I'm only on book 2... But so far it's great. less
