review 1: I gave this book only 3 stars as I didn't find it as fast paced as the previous books. Not only was the action a little slow, but it is only near the middle that the real stuff starts to happen. Rose's character also takes a hit for the worse in this book. Adrian though, while being his darkest self so far in the series, is well written. I also had some issues with the Dimitri-Rose dynamic when it had taken such an interesting spin in the previous book. I really believe that their issues (and I'm not going to expand on that here) could have been dealt with more tact. Overall, it was a slower and less thrilling book that the previous ones. It remains however a relatively good book and having reached so far in the series, it would be a shame to skip the next ... morebook.
review 2: HOLY.FUCKING.SHITIf you ask me how i'm doing after reading this book I'll probably tell you that I kinda want to kill myself and that I kinda want to kill every fucking person in this world.I can't describe how i'm feeling exactly but imagine me on the floor crying, yeah, that's me right now.SO MANY FUCKING THIS HAPPENED IN THIS BOOK THAT I JUST AJDJSJSKDJFJDJFJDJSIS I CAN'T sorryOk I'll start fron the begining.Rose has this crazy plan to break into prison and set Victor free. Well, I thought 'oh fine the book's going to be about victor and his brother' I was wrong. Like, I don't care about them but I didn't expect the story to get this way... Anyway i loved it so much, it was so exciting that I couldn't put thr book down, and I didn't.Dimitri, you made my suffer a lot and i'm very happy you're back to your normal state but please STOP BEING AN ASSHOLE WITH ROSE AND TELL HER YOU FUCKING LOVE HER! For God's sake it's been 5 books an they are not together, ughhhhh please!BUT I have a problem shipping Rose and Dimitri because I actually love Adrian too. I can't decide between them, I want Rose to be with Dimitri but I also want her to be with Adrian, is that bad?Dimitri is the perfect not perfect guy after all but let's face it he's the best. But Adrian, he's so sweet and reckless and kind of a bad guy and I love him too, like, his personality totally matches Rose's. I know I said this a lot of times but I love Rose so much that it makes me want to cry. WHY all those things have to happen to her? enough please! she's been through a lot, nobody understand what she has faced and how she feels. It tares my heart into a million pieces seing her suffer like that. I want her to be happy for once after all...She's the best main character I've ever read. True fact.The end of the book just made me want to get kidnapped by an alien, kind of. I just can't believe it. No, I can't talk about it yet.I ALSO WANT TO SAY THAT I CAN'T STAND LISSA BECAUSE IT SEEMS SHE'S THE ONE WHO SUFFERS THE MOST BUT NO AND THE WAY SHE ACTED WITH DIMITRI HELL NO BITCH STAY OUT. I actually liked the scenes she had with Christian but she acting like a hero staking dimitri made me roll my eyes a hundred times.I have a lot of things to say about this book but right now I can't think straight.I only have one book left and I'm already sad, I don't know what's coming next but I want things to be normal for once. less
