review 1: It is so easy to get caught up in the trappings of Christmas and forget why we are doing it all in the first place. The is a purpose behind the birth of Jesus... and Rick Warren gently reminds us (or tells for the first time to some?)God's unmatchable love for us... and His desire of a personal relationship. It's so easy for Jesus and his birth to get lost in the wrapping paper. This could be a yearly read for me.
review 2: This is a wonderful book. It speaks of the plan to salvation, the true reason for the season, and yet it also will help you become grounded and re-centered if you have already received salvation. So many things I needed reminded of about faith, trust, love, forgiveness, and just simply living this life we have been given are in this book. ... more I feel this book was brought to me by God's hands when it was placed into my Mother in law's hands to give me as a gift for Christmas this year. I have been having inner turmoil and just being nudged again by my Father's words has already helped me gain more peace with all I have been conflicted on. I truly hope other's will find this book in their possession and be able to enjoy what it has to offer. Even if it is not Christmas time I recommend the read. Thanks to Mr Warren for this book. less
