review 1: Late one night I was looking for a quick read on my e reader, something to make me sleepy. I had down loaded this book some time ago and thought I would give it a try. Much to my surprise it did not make me sleepy at all but kept me reading late into the night and then much to my dismay it stopped!!!! What???? I had missed the small print (part one)!!!!! And my e reader is not downloading!!! I've got to see what happens to Emily!!!!!
review 2: *Confused*Now that I've come to the completion, I'm left hanging. The cover threw me off, for one, kinda lame. But as I trudged on, I was actually rooting for this damn no good nothing down on life 24/7 outlook...I was just screaming to get over yourself already Emily! I actually believed Simone was a more likeable wri... moretten character, however the Jack Daniels in your trunk toting chick with the added extra details of a 14 year old sob story left me pondering will there be more. I realize this is a ploy for many authors, wave a tantalizing Amazon freebie under your nose, have you hooked, and I mean hooked, I did enjoy the humor and quirkiness it had going. Hell...Ass Wipe had me laughing. Yes, that's what I said, Ass Wipe, Emily's adopted dog. And let's not forget these other strange characters, like the crazy machete wielding neighbor, the organ reaper who Emily signed her life away (I know, right this story is certainly...different!) And let's not forget the ever unattainable drop dead buff hubbahubbahubba 10 hairstylist, that of course, you guessed it...gay. "Not that there's anything wrong with it," as Jerry Seinfeld would say. ;) And drumroll please...After this adventure so abruptly began, it was even more drastically CUT. Do I or don't I continue? I mean, was this chick just dreaming the entire time, or what?! Because gosh damnit I do not read spoiler reviews...And now that I've actually read the Goodreads description of the part 1, it looks as though part 2 is included because God damnit I wanted Emily to tag with Simone to Jamaica and finally for the life of her have a one night stand that she can cross off the bucket list! WTH happens?! *Frustrated!**EEEEEEEEEP* *GRRRRRRRRRR*PFFFFFFTTTTT. less
