review 1: I still love the Mrs. Murphy mysteries, but as the series has continued the focus seems to have shifted from the animals to the humans. Harry is very interesting, but I read the books because I love the animals. I do like the very obvious research that Rita Mae Brown puts in her books. I always learn something when I read one of her books, and that's something that I appreciate when reading, and something that doesn't always come when reading fiction.
review 2: That's it, I'm done. I've been a faithful Mrs. Murphy fan since the start, but now I am so sick of RMB's heavy handed soap box rants I just can't read any more. While every person is entitled to there political opinion and I don't necessarily disagree with RMB's, I find them entirely too distracting in... more her last few books.We already know you can write a decent non-fiction book, maybe now is the time to write another, and step down from the soap box in your novels. less
