review 1: My first grade students have been in love with these Splat the Cat books for some time now and figured that I should read several (and stock up my classroom library as well) to see what all the fuss was about! I have to say that after reading several of these silly kitty books I can see how a 6 year old might love these so much! With such simple pictures and characters and fairly easy to read text Splat doesn’t leave much not to love. In this specific story Splat notices that several of his wooden birds from his collection go missing and he goes on a hunt to find out what is happening only to have an unexpected discovery of who is actually stealing (and eventfully returning) his dear birds.
review 2: This book is about a cat whose ducks start to come up missi... moreng and the cat has to go undercover to see who is taking them. This book really caught my attention with the images. The images were so well drawn and really captured the book. This book can be used in the classroom if you are trying to teach children about making friends and that no matter how different someone may be they still need a friend too. less
