review 1: Ronald Malfi is turning out to be one of my favorite authors. This is my second Malfi novel and the best so far. The house he moves into has a bad past and quickly stirs up his tragedy of his dead brother. It is a mystery that kept me doubting my own assumptions as I read. I read this very quickly.
review 2: I thought this was going to be a good old fashioned creepy ghost story, unfortunately it wasn't. It wasn't scary nor was it really a ghost story. The first few chapters were long and too detailed for a novel, the main character focused too much on the death of his brother, which when yo

The plot was not there and after finishing this book I felt I had just read a book in a circle which I really hate. Sorry but this was too dull and too slow for me to care about the characters. less

"All good books are honest books." This is indeed a good book, but not a great one.
