review 1: This book was too modern to be be a historical novel. A friend of mine that is from the U.K. said, that the book read, as if the writer didn't know much about that time period or English society. Olivia was mentally unbalance and would not have been allowed to run around without supervision. She would've been sent away or locked away. Olivia level of violence was scary. Some of the things she did were criminal acts. She would not have been given the choice of going to a assylum. Personally I felt that a number of the characters in this story, were a bit touch in the head too. I liked Marcus, for that reason I give this book 2 and 1/2 stars.

... morewedding I was saying I don't know what else there to have happen, but then there was a lot more to the story and I was surprised by it all in a good way. I cried about his father, I was shocked to learn the true ideinty of the experiments Alex copied, and I loved when her father showed up and to me that is when Alex fully left behind the nerdy shy kid he was and became the great man he is. less
