review 1: I really liked this book. I disagree with the reviews that called it 'hysterical'. It had a constant sad theme because the character that you grow to love, dies in the first sentence. I did laugh, tho not hysterically, cried, hated certain characters, loved them, then hated them again. I really enjoyed this book, although sad. Lately, everything you read is the same, this book was something different and very full of love.
review 2: I'm not sure how I felt about this book. I would definitely say it was NOT humorous. As a vegan and animal rights champion I was taken aback by the almost thoughtless way the author spoke of wearing furs and animals products as well as the meals the characters consumed - steak, seafood, etc. I picked the book up because I thoug
... moreht the subject matter would be interesting and while I knew it couldn't end happily - the main character was dead in the first page - I had hoped it would be somewhat uplifting and that they mystery would be solved. It really wasn't. I felt Molly had closure and that her soul moved on to eternal rest, but the those left in the world would not have had the same closure for her murder. The ending was somewhat disappointing for me. The book is very well written and kept my attention, I had just hoped for better results. less
