review 1: ummm.I don't know.I can't decide whether I like it or its simply Okay.guess ill go with simply okay.1st up the plot ain't new.its been there read that kind of a book so I knew what to expect when I went into it. thought it would mature out n become a good read but its turned out oky. the hero is a dick to start with n then he turns a leaf. but that whole journey of turning over could have been So much more which it's not. the heroine is like I feel locked up.her personality I feel is unclear and I can't draw a mental image of her in my head.its sweet that they fall in love eventually but that build up,the situations and circumstances could use some drama and I don't mean the ex lover popping n trying to be a bitch which is a given in any mills n boon kinda plot.I actually ... morefelt like I was reading a mills n boon ;)sorry sam if I sound rude but I truthfully expected something more n its my expectation that's let me down. I also feel like this book was rushed through.it could use some patience but it didn't seem to hve that.
review 2: I won this as a Goodreads reader. I love Sam Crescent. That said, this was a formulaic, predictable disappointment. The premise was good, the sex scenes right up there with her usual....just too many grammatical and proofreading errors, too loose, too predictable...It read like the directions to get somewhere: first you do this, then that, then this.....I could never connect emotionally to the characters. Oy ~ I'm sure the next Sam Crescent will be better. less
