review 1: QUICK READRachel has been in love with her brothers best friend forever. He's got a reputation with the ladies, and Rachel has heard the women gossiping about Paul around town. Determined to get him to notice her she asks him to teach her about sex. She just hopes her brother Mitch doesn't find out.While I like the theme of an older man with a younger woman, the age difference is ten years here. This was just okay for me. It was a bit too short for any real depth to the story or character development. But the sex scenes were hot.
review 2: I've read many books from Sam Crescent, hoping she would change her typical curvy-full-figure heroine. I don't know why but I really really wish she'd try a different type of heroine. Say, what about a skinny heroine? I've ne... morever read one in Crescent's books. Oh well, this short book has the same body type heroine if you were wondering like me.The story is one I've read before, the girl is in love with her big brother's best friend and in return said best friend is also in love with the girl. They both don't know about each other's feelings until BOOM something happens and they end up together. It is a very short read, less then 200 pages in my IBooks, so I couldn't really fall for Rachel and Paul. I know they're obsessed with each other and want the whole family and children and dog but that's it. I didn't get a background from their previous years and the way Paul realized Rachel was 'The One' was a bit quick for me. I like it when you can read the slow building of their feelings towards the all-consuming love. I was a little creep out when Paul bought all these sex toys a couple years ago and they had the name Rachel on them. I thought Paul was warned to stay away from Rachel by her brother? Paul had agreed because he didn't want to jeopardize his friendship with Mitch. Now, all of the sudden, Paul is all for Rachel and who cares about Mitch. What a good friend Paul is. Oh yes. I don't understand how Paul, a man who has slept with different women every week, could be a one-woman man now? Come on! One doesn't change their ways in a night or a day. Yes, Paul had all this 'love' for Rachel but he still slept with 2/3 of town. Now you're telling me that it took all but one kiss from Rachel and BAM he is now whipped at 31? Yes, very believable indeed. Annnnnd it gets more ironic. After they have sex, Paul decides that Rachel should go live with him. Yes, Paul, who has never brought a girl back to his house. Wow. This is so unrealistic, I'm skimming so much, it ain't funny. I want to say more but I won't. I'll leave it up for those who will probably read this book. less
