review 1: This was at best an ok read. The writing was not smooth and there was more telling than showing with respect to the developing relationship among the three main characters. I never felt either the lust or the love that supposedly existed between Cynthia and the two males. The description of the war between the weres and the hunters lacked any real suspense, and the scene where the main characters interact with their dead parents was just hokey. Overall, one scene did not blend smoothly into the next. It felt as though the author had drafted the outline of the story and then just expanded on the individual points of her draft. I'm prepared to give this author another chance only because some reviewers mentioned that this was not Crescent's best work. If not for these commen... morets, I'd have to pass on this author.
review 2: I just didn't like it as well as some of the other Sam Crescent books I have read, which I have read most. I, personally, did not think this was as well written as many of her others. But then again, I have loved some of her other books which got a low rating from others. So, I guess, all in all, it just wasn't my cup of tea. Their was a part of their romance toward the end that is icky to me. SPOILER ALERT!!! I don't have a problem with gay or bisexual people, but I don't enjoy reading about it. Just my preference. I don't find it arousing or romantic in the slightest. Just saying! less

I found it alright but compared to Sam's other work, it was pretty mediocre.
