review 1: A love story about Wolverine and Jean Gray? The premise was good but I felt like getting from point A to point B in this book was so long winded I wasn't relishing the details as I should have. It was like going around in circles sometimes. All in all it was a good start for the series but needs to be pared down. The characters had such angst and no outlet to rid themselves of it. It detracted from the rest of the story. I'm definitely glad I read it but not a book I will go back and re-read. Needs some Shelly Laurenston influence.
review 2: I loved this book for so many reasons. It had the right mix of paranormal elements with everyday life. The characters continue to grow as the story moves along. While this was a romance, the author didn't focus on 'heat' to
... more the point that the plot was lost in between the sheets. It was a slow and sweet romance with the paranormal element playing an important role. This book was more about the story versus steam. Don't get me wrong I love steam and there is plenty of that in the story but lately a lot of the books I have read is all steam no story. There was a lot of humor and I honestly thought I would wake up my family as I giggled. The storyline itself was unique and provoked many thoughts and emotions. There were times I was angry, laughing, mentally hooraying the characters and hoping the story wouldn't end. This is the first book I have read by this author and would love to read more. less
