review 1: A touching story about the depth of friendship and the strength of forgiveness. Agatha and Georgie were best friends back in the summer of 1936 until the appearance of a stranger seemed to have torn them apart. A women's society club founded in friendship begun in 1936 begins to unravel years later as husbands and children take a front row seat to the club. Seventy five years later the women's club is throwing a celebration of its origins but in the midst of the celebration plans mysteries from 1936 begin to surface. The present day players are forced to face the truth in both what has happened in their grandparents' past, what has happened in their own pasts and what their hearts desire for the future. This was a quick read but a beautiful story about friendship, end... moreurance and hope.
review 2: Good, not enchanting like Garden Spells, but I really like her writing. Good tales to lose yourself in.Liked the characters, but the plot was lacking. Lots of subplots, some enjoyable, some not so much. Still good overall and happy ending. There were a few things that seemed to be editorial mistakes - like how could Nana Osgood be Paxton Osgood's paternal grandmother when that was her maiden name. A couple annoying inconsistencies. Paxton's father would have had to have a different last name, unless his mother married a cousin. Nothing suggests that in the book. less

This book was ok. It was very predictable with a couple of surprises. Easy to read.
