review 1: An excellent romp thru the hallowed halls of Princeton. What if all the gargoyles in and around Princeton were actual creature, not myth? Lily discovers this on an alumni visit with her grandfather. She gets more than she bargained for when she is confronted with the Legacy Test - if she passes, she wins automatic entrance into the college. However, Lily is in way over her head as she discovers exactly why she was chosen for the test.
review 2: A very interesting and unique plot, but the writing style could have been a bit more sophisticated. But the novel was fast paced, with believable plot twists that join and explain many seemingly disconnect events that happened before Lily's lifetime. There were fairly likable characters. Honestly, it was cheesy as hell. But for some reason, cheesy always works with Sara Beth Durst.

Probably closer to 2.5 stars--it was kind of juvenile, and predictable, but cute.
