review 1: I am still confused why the title of this book is Unsticky, but bad title aside, what a really enjoyable read. I am not normally one for "Chick Lit" or rather I hate to feel pushed into a genre because I am a woman. The story is the that of Gracie 23 year old fashionista with a bad boy problem and a credit card habit. Enter enigmatic Vaughan who sweeps her into a world of excess. Any more and I spoil the plot, it is a good read with plenty of humour and human-ness. It could stray into fifty shades territory with the story of a rich older man and young ingenue but that is rather underselling this tale.
review 2: Unsticky was one of my first reads in this genre (after FSOG and BTY, of course) and I absolutely loved it. Sarra Manning really did a wonderful job por... moretraying her characters, the young and impressionable Grace (23) and the older and aloof art dealer, Vaughn (41). Their coupling is strange as he asks Grace to be his "girlfriend" for 6 months. In desperate need of money (and affection), Grace agrees, but has no idea what is in store for her. I was disappointed in how rude and sometimes mean Vaughn was to Grace, but I guess it worked. I would have liked to see their HEA start a little bit earlier since there was so much conflict between the two, but was happy with the way it ended. I definitely recommend this story to anyone who is looking for a little bit more edge! less
