review 1: Loved LOVED this book, my favorite in the series so far. LOTS of twists and turns I wasn't expecting, especially realizing half-way or so through the book that I was reading something that happened 10-15 years ago as if it were present day. I'm trying to refrain from too many spoilers here, as I don't want to ruin the story for those that haven't read the book. Mr. Pratt, you've really outdone yourself with this one, and I'm excited to read the next book in the series and see where Joe goes from here...I'm also curious to find out if he ever becomes a judge, I always thought at some point he would become one, but in this book, I'm not sure that'll happen because of where he is now.
review 2: This is the third (and best so far) book of the Joe Dillard series. Pr
... moreatt still struggles with the mechanics of the novel, but he comes up with very good stories that are worth reading. He needs a good editor to point out verb tense problems and eliminate weak or meaningless words and dialogue. These are major distractions to an otherwise excellent novel. I thoroughly enjoy the way Pratt skewers judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys equally. I will definitely buy the next one if he continues the series--especially if it is released on Kindle as the first three were. less
