review 1: This is a surprisingly good law novel. I say surprising because at first I gave up on it. I couldn't get into it at all. But when I revisited it I realized that the disinterest must have had to do with me. This is a sequel, the former story I haven't read and I was concerned that I would not be able to follow the story. Alas, I was mistaken again. This book not only kept my interest, but also kept me filled in on what happened prior to this book. I recommend it.In a word: Entertaining
review 2: Turow is the master of the complexly woven story. I generally don't care for novels that are as heavy in troubled relationships as Turows tend to be, but the captivating story and mystery makes up for it. In this book Rusty Sabich, the lawyer accused of killing his forme... morer lover, is accused of killing his wife. I thought I had the mystery solved several time only to see I wasn't on target untill all was revealed in the last chapter. less
