review 1: The war between vamps and werewolves continues with yet another take, another style of writing, which I enjoyed! Although the story takes place in the 14th century, the characters had 'modern' names and instead of all flowery type scenes, there were times when the writing smacked totally of 'in your face' today! (If that makes sense) One thing I noticed, the royal vampire family's surname was the same as the author's! Hmmmm...proof of vampires??? Different, dark, the few editing issues were easy to ignore.
review 2: This short novella is very dark and enjoyable read. The story and themes capture our daily struggles and decision making problems, regardless of gender, race, or creed. The story got really going for me and I was fearing the end would not be a ... moreconclusion. Unfortunately, the book does end in a cliffhanger. But it was enjoyable for a quick read. I look forward to when Mr Sean Robertson, who I believe has great ideas, comes out with book two to see what happens… less
