review 1: What a whirlwind of highs and lows!! Hating the drama but secretly can't get enough...it's like watching a train wreak in the middle of a shit storm...I adore love stories and happy endings...and LLB did NOT disappoint...what relationship doesn't have it's ups and downs? Unfortunate for Emma and Jackson it was the interference of others and unspoken confessions that broke their relationship apart...but never dwindled their love for each other...Love Left Behind had everything I look for in a good read...of course the love/hate aspect, anguish and despair, jealousy and possessiveness are all in here, which I hate to love but also I love to hate --does that make sense?--Anyways- if you're like me, and just want 2 read something 2 pass the time, LLB is a pretty good choice...... morethe sex scenes weren't that bad either, FYI...
review 2: SPOILER ALERT: would not recommend this book to ANYONEI've gotta say, this was one of the most infuriating books I've ever read! Emma and Jackson's relationship was beyond annoying and I wanted to punch them both so many times it was ridiculous. I'm not into the whole "you break up with a person therefore you're 'depressed' and you've got nothing to live for". Believe it or not, there's a world past guys. Even if they are crazy hot.The issues revolving around Claire was beyond annoying. Like Emma, just fucking ask the man why he cheated on you throughout the relationship? And where would he have gotten the time? HE WAS WITH YOU EVERY SINGLE MINUTE! Emma and Jackson were just horny teenagers that couldn't keep it in their pants. Like seriously, who has 'perfect, hot and seriously wild' sex all day? And please, use some condoms before you birth the spawn of Satan.Emma was such a sob story. And her so called commitments to Sean were so STUPID! Like lady, you're allowed to leave someone. There's never a right time. Sean's mother was a bitch. Trisha was a terrrrible friend. Like, if your best friend wants to break up with someone instead of making a somewhat unbreakable commitment, you should at least support them, not ditch them and refuse to make contact. But noo, somehow, Trisha and Emma get past everything and they're back to being good ol' buddies.Usually I don't mind the jealous boyfriend thing. But Jackson was ridiculous! The first week they met, let alone started dating he was infuriated at any past contact she had with a man - her FIANCE for pete's sake of all people. And Emma's quick forgiveness of anything and everything Jackson did was stupid. You yourself thought he was creepy but you thought "no it's okay, he's hot and really nice." Lady, a serial killer could be nice but it doesn't mean he won't KILL you!! Have you ever heard of boundaries? I suggest you learn them.Anyway. Save yourself a lot of trouble and don't read. Unless you like infuriating women and possessive guys. And if so, you'll love this book! less
