review 1: Creative writing at its best. A fantasy-adventure legend-mythical story that looks into Winter and its effects on the earthlings. It was amusing at some points, esp its description of how the characters coped with winter worries and doldrums that plagued them. I'm usually good at tapping into my imagination when trying to understand what an author tries to paint with his words... but this one was quite different and difficult to re-create. I'll definitely enjoy it better on the big screen, hoping that somebody does make a film out of this.
review 2: This book is a tiny fable without much significance or meaning - to this reader. However, it's also a lovely read - and not all stories need to have a point. That it was marketed so heavily by indie presses is certain
... morely impressive - and I did read it late in the game compared to when the internet was buzzing with commentary.I pre-ordered the upcoming title with Two Dollar Press and look forward to the author's next novel. Can only assume - not hope - that since it's being published with such a heavy weight in the indie press corner of the literary industry, that it will have a lot more substance to chew on that its predecessor. less

A beautiful fairy-tale about ones inner turmoil. That's what it was to me anyhow.
