review 1: This series is one of those that just keep on giving a surprise inside and when opened and read it is revealed. In this war that is going on the good guys are each individuals you want to know that meet up with that one woman who strengthens them and saves their souls. Each woman paired up with something different is revealed on what they can do using that guys power-together make a good team. Hope's sister Jackie though just wants to live a normal life after being freed. But what you want and what you get are two different things more often than not. Saving Ian after being forced to chose a warrior-him is not on her agenda either. But because of her selfishness in leaving with him to the "normal" life they are attacked and she really chooses him now to save his life and a... morelso hers. Find out their abilities together and his secret he has hidden that is revealed and how in the end they save each other. Loaded with passion and drama good till the last page and leaves you ready for another one.
review 2: It took me a little bit to warm up to this book. Mostly because at the beginning of the story I wanted to ring the heroine, Jackie's, neck. She was so stubborn about helping these men and was so against doing anything besides returning to her normal life that I was getting really fet-up with her. But, in the end she did the right thing and really cared for Ian so I ended up liking her. Ian was wonderful. He was noble and strong and I adored him. Their struggles together really brought this book home for me. I can't wait to continue with this series and see what happens next. less
