review 1: I love this series! The only reason I didn't give this book a 5 is because in the first 50-pages when Meg is home from the hospital with cut feet, her mother and stepfather (Jake) are there at the house to greet her and tell her that they are staying to help. Then the next scene, Jake (stepfather) and Mariah are walking out of the woods from having trailed the perpetrator and ask if Meg is home. This is such a little blip in the otherwise excellent story but I have to point it out because it breaks the rhythm of the story and I had to re-read it several times to make sure I wasn't mistaken. Regardless of that one flaw, (I mean really, who doesn't have at least one flaw) this is action packed with believability all the way through. I fell in love in Linc and was cheeri... moreng him on the whole way. Each of the books in this series would make great movies. There's danger, suspense, and love with happily ever after leaving the reader feeling good.Thank you Sharon Sala for such a magnificent series, and I look forward to reading more of your books!
review 2: This is the first Sharon Sala book that I've read and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to read the other books in this series but that wasn't a problem. You can definitely read it as a stand-alone book. I was very intrigued by the other characters and which I had read those as well but this book was really great even on it's own.Although I didn't find there to be much mystery in this book it was still fun to watch the events unfold. The romance was great and I was happy to see this couple rekindle their romance that was taken away from them before it really had a chance to take off. Meg was a very enjoyable character. I loved how blunt honest she was. She gave me many laughs throughout the book with her personality. Linc was an awesome character too. I loved the descriptions of him. It was fun seeing the town react to him with his size and his past.I really enjoyed this book and would recommend reading it. I'm sure it's a lot better if you read the other 2 books in this series rather than just jumping right into it but even if you do that's just fine too. You don't have those moments where it feels like you're missing out on something. less
