review 1: I was trying to find another book by the author but this one was the only book by this writer at the library. I downloaded it and decided to read it right away. It is a very short story, but a very well written story. I enjoyed it so much. Now I can't wait to find the book I originally tried to get.Meg, is renovating a home inherited by her mother and while doing so becomes ill. Through her feverish mode she encounters Deborah, who had been in the home for nearly two hundred years. The two become acquainted...and Meg helps Deborah discovers something from the past.Good, short, easy read. The only way it can disappoint is because of it being a very short short story. Ok to borrow from library, but would have been unhappy if I paid good money on something that takes ... moreless than a half hour to read.
review 2: Short and sweet mystery. Meg is working on a house when she discovers that there is a ghost living there with her. The night after she meets the ghost she is kept awake by the thought of what might have happened to her that has caused her to hang around for 200 plus years. Meg figures that her death was probably a murder and determines to try and find out. As soon as Meg discovers the truth the ghost is free to travel to the next world. Not bad, now on to the first book in the series. less

What was the point of this story? I like the Orchard mysteries, but this story was ridiculous!

While it was a little too short for my liking, I still thought it was a cute story.
