review 1: At moments felt beautiful and perfect and smart. At other moments painfully pretentious. I think more of a reflection of my mood and patience when I sat to read than the quality of the book. Some passages were so right-on that I needed to close the book and mentally suck on them for a while. Sometimes I felt like finishing it quickly so that I could move on to the next thing. Made me think about art's worth, made me think about friendship, made me judge myself for feeling so internally similar to the narrator (author?). Worth a read, probably worth a re-read.
