review 1: I'd love to do this novel for the teen book club. There are so many different issues, although it could certainly be controversial! The story centres around Celeste who is becoming aware that there is more in the world than the life Unity offers her. It is a traditional LDS community: young wives for older men, control, and containment. Celeste meets others and gets connected to an LDS boy, an unheard-of practice. She challenges, moves on, and starts a new life. This is truly courageous.

... more little concerned near the end with the direction that it was going, but even though it wrapped up rather abruptly, it still hung together and made sense from the character's perspectives. less
