review 1: I think has been my favorite of the "Sidney Sheldon's" books penned by Tilly Bagshawe. Again, they can't match Sheldon's best books, but are at least on par with his later novels and I most appreciate Bagshawe's obvious respect for the late author and his style of writing--fast-paced, tricky and suspenseful. This one was a serious page turner that I devoured in just a few days. I was kind of bummed that I picked up early on what the twist was going to be, although admittedly, my first guess on who was wrong. I also figured out the ending cliffhanger, but appreciated that Bagshawe kept that "Sheldonism" in this novel. I hope she keeps turning out these Sidney Sheldon tribute novels (every one has been far better than the one novel of hers that I read, Showd... moreown).
review 2: A novel that shook in every possible emotion a mystery book can shake! Anger, envy, revenge, friendship, betrayal, selfishness, horror, thrill, love and what not.Though it got a little obvious at times and predictable like before 10 pages. Not best of Sidney's, but neither bad.Enjoyed the later half and the strong character of Alexia, though found Toni really off beat.Loved Summer and Lucy(in all blacks and whites).Would say had a rather interesting and thrilling weekend reading this one. less
