review 1: My Review:I really enjoyed getting to really know Max's character in Tag Team and looked forward to him getting his own story. I was surprised by his pairing with Aiden though. These aren't two characters who I would have placed together, but overall it worked. Fairly early on in their relationship, Max lets Aiden know that he's a bit more kinky than Aiden is used to. Upon some internet/porn explorations, Aiden discovers a pony kink video. Max just happens to come to Aiden's house at that time and promises that they can explore the fantasy together. In fact, they decide to start exploring several of those type of scenarios. It's a slow build-up and one that Aiden doesn't understand. Since Max is supposed to be a psychologist, I expected him to be better at reading people's... more needs. He doesn't seem to understand Aiden a lot of the time and doesn't explain as much as he should. That bothered me a bit because it seemed to be more than just the confusion of a new relationship at issue here.It was a good story and I liked how it crossed over the timelines of the other two books to give more insight about all the events that were happening in the background of them. Note: I do not get pony kink, but as the title suggests, this was kind of the focal point for these guys. But for all that build-up, including the TITLE of the book, it was pretty much a non-event in the book, happening way at the end with the actual event happening OFF the page. What??? Seriously, I don't understand the reasoning behind that and felt cheated of that scene.
